Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose and build up a whole new project that would positively fit the concerns of Cadiz City Police Station - Warrant Section. The proponents make use of comprehensive interview strategy and interact with relative personnel to gather raw data for the project. The data gathered are then analyzed to conceptualize a suitable system to resolve specific problems. The current system used by the section has problems including the inconvenience and outsized time consumed in searching warrant records, making manual filing, and there are instances that some texts from each warrant are faded due to long term storage in a cabinet. In order to unravel these problems, the proponents arrived in developing and information system named as "Criminal Records and Information Management System or CRIMS". This is to automate the searching of warrant records and to avoid fading of text for a clear seem and avoid fault when conducting the search for records. The system also provides graphical reports for different barangay, case, issuing court, law violated, and map of Cadiz City to track the rates of crimes. CRIMS limits only for the warrant records of Cadiz City PNP. Other noted crimes and wanted persons (not a citizen of Cadiz) outside the city will not be entertained to be a part of the system. Furthermore, system for modification of crime records.

The porponents used the Sashimi Waterfall Model also known as "The Waterfall Model with feedback" System Development Life Cycle in order to connect relevant strategies and steps to be used for making the project. There are benefactors for this project, including the Police Station - Warrant Section and its personnel-in-charge, citizens, CHMSC, future researchers, and the proponents. As a result, the proposed project compliments the concerns and arrived to a different but a useful improvement to the section.
