Abstract
The Career Placement and Alumni Tracking System (CPAATS) is an online-based system application that aims to replace the manual tracking of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College graduates and enhance it by adding the career placement information. The researchers conducted this study due to the problems, which arise in the current system that generally do not function completely in order to serve its main purpose. To answer these problems, the researchers set the following objectives: to develop a system that has a capability of gathering alumni information including their job place and position; provide information to the graduates about the job openings online; provide a secure storage of data through databases; and create CPAATS for CHMSC Talisay.
The researchers conducted an interview through the help of the CHMSC Alumni Association Office, as respondents, in order to gather information necessary to the development of the system. The method used was incremental iterative software development which is most suited in this kind of study and through this, the researchers were able to highlight the added/innovation of the existing system available in the market.
The results for development of the system were attained after the enactment of the method. System's testing was done by having an alpha test as a method; evaluation form was used as an instrument or a test form. The test form contains questions that corresponds to how the system functions; the evaluation's result indicates that the system in terms of mean range is 4.36 or equivalent to high. This means that the system is appropriate to be used for CHMSC and the proponents recommends that the CPAATS must be implemented.
This project primarily aims to enhance and widen the span of tracking CHMSC alumni, to provide assessment and assist alumni in looking/landing for a job place and enhance the current system by integrating it with today's technology.
