Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an Online Library Collection of Hiligaynon Urban Legends that would cater the needs of all Negrense and to other people who are interested in different Urban Legends of Negros Occidental. This study will greatly benefit the province of Negros Occidental.

The proponents used the Qualitative Approach as the main guide to the entire research and in achieving the main objective of the project. The proponents conducted an interview in gathering the data. The gathered data are then analyzed, transcribed and translated from Hiligaynon to English. The proponents also used the Incremental Model as the method in developing the system.

The existing problem of this study includes; Lack of knowledge in terms of urban legends of different places in Negros, difficulty in tracing information about urban legends in Negros, and poor campaign or advertisement of Negros Occidental Tourism. In order to find a suitable solution to these problems, Online Library Collection of Hiligaynon Urban Legends was developed. This development would provide information to all Negrense about the Urban Legends located in a particular towns and cities, publish urban legends online and to promote the tourism of different places in Negros.

With Online Library Collection of Hiligaynon Urban Legends, Negrense and all other people from other places can access the different Hiligaynon Urban Legends of Negros Occidental over the web. The system also provides a fun quiz that would make as a refresher to the user and all questions was all about the Province of Negros Occidental.
