Abstract
This study aims to develop a social networking site – CHMSCnet that is exclusive for CHSMC Talisay students, faculty, staff and alumni. The development of the CHMSCnet intends to give solutions to the problems identified by the group after conducting an investigation. Like difficulty in updating students about the school activities, difficulty in building faculty-student, staff-student relationship and communication and difficulty in informing alumni about the special or particular events of the school. The development of the CHMSCnet give solutions and answers to the problems.
The objectives of the study are: to update every student about the shool activities; to inform evry alumni about a particular events of the school; and to build a strong faculty-student, staff-student relationship and communication. The group limits on the following; the user of the system is limited only for the CHMSC students, faculty, staff and alumni; the user of the system can only access the account and cannot manipulate the record in the database of the CHMSCnet; and the administrator is the only one that can do the confirmation of the new member/s.
Based on the result of investigation and observation, the group concludes that CHMSCnet is very important and can help in informing and updating of every CHMSCian. The system would provide an easy access in terms of communication. Also, based on the summary the following conclusions were formulated, the CHMSCnet should implement in order to have an easy and high-tech way of building a relationship and bond among CHMSCians, CHMSCnet is very helpful in spreading the news and information not only about the school but also about each user of the system and the CHMSCnet will help to improve the service of the school in terms or in the part of social life.
After the analysis of data and process, the group would like to suggest and recommend the implementation of CHMSCnet to CHMSC Talisay. These are the other recommendations; the school should support the implementation of CHMSCnet order to have an easy and accessible way of updating and informing of every CHMSCians; the school should inform every student, faculty, staff and alumni about the administrator of the CHMSCnet; the administrator of CHMSCnet should check and verify the account which is waiting for confirmation and the group recommends that only students, fauclty and alumni can access the CHMSCnet. The CHMSCnet was developed so that CHMSC will not be left behind in terms of social network and modernization of technologies. After the development of CHMSCnet, the group conducted an evaluation. Each criteria was computed to know weighted mean wherein every quantity to be has a corresponding weight.
